It is no secret that architects should always keep abreast, to know all the new products in the building materials market. Therefore, for us last week ended with a visit to Reynaers aluminum in Ukraine.

Company representatives showed us a wide range of glazing solutions, talked about the innovations and the durability of their products. At the enterprise, we familiarized ourselves with the intricacies of the assembly, painting and anodizing of aluminum profiles.

Every year, in honor of the birthday of the company, we organize a trip abroad and this one was not an exception. We look forward to sharing our impressions of relaxation with you.

This year a country was chosen with a long history, majestic mountains, many rivers, lakes, waterfalls and temples, with delicious cuisine and hospitable people. Already guessed what kind of country? - Well, of course, this is Georgia ... Such a contrast and diverse.

The first city we visited was Gudauri. This is a fairly young ski resort, the development of which began in the 80s. Something is being improved here every season. Everyone was able to find entertainment to their like: professionals rode on red and black tracks, beginners on green ones, and for those who didn’t like skiing and snowboarding - they flew a paraglide, went down the hills on the "buns", attended spa treatments or simply admired the incredible landscapes of the Caucasus Mountains.

The next stop was a place that struck with its beauty - Zhinvalskoe reservoir. An interesting fact is that the reservoir is artificial and earlier in its place was the old city of Zhinvali - a paradise for archaeologists. But by the decision of the government, in 1984, it was flooded and hydropower plants were built. Actually, this is how this amazing place appeared.

Well, at the end of the trip we visited the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi. Incredibly colorful, contrasting and vibrant city. It was here that we were able to explore the local architecture. Merging old and new. We saw the famous: the Peace Bridge; the Concert Hall and the House of Justice built according to a project of the world famous architect Massimiliano Fuksas; the temple of Sameba; Mtatsminda Park, which is located on a hill and from which there are magnificent views of the entire city; climbed the cable car to the mother of Kartli. Also visited the old capital - Mtskheta and Jvari Monastery, built in the 7th century.

Georgia is a country that fascinates and makes you fall in love with it at the first sight! We got enough bright, positive emotions and were inspired to create new, cool projects)

On October 25, 2018, the Royal Lancaster London hosted an award ceremony of the International Property Awards. The projects "Aura Apartment" and "Plaza", in the development of which we took a part, won in the nominations "Residential High-rise Architecture Ukraine", "Best Apartment Ukraine" and "Mixed-use Development Ukraine".

We thank Aura Development and Vatmanstudio for their excellent team work on projects.

For our company, corporate vacation is a tradition. Thanks to the joint pastime, we always have a friendly and family atmosphere in the team, and we work smoothly, as a single mechanism.

Last weekend, we organized a rafting tour to the Southern Bug, which runs through the territory of the natural park of national importance "Bug Grad". Our rest began in the village of Migeya, Nikolaev region, where the instructor met us and gave instructions on safety measures. Rafting took place along the route of the Migeysky threshold - the village of Kuripchino, and its length was 6 km.

In addition to the rafting itself, we descended without a floating craft along the threshold of the river and felt the power and strength of its flow. Also, we climbed to the elevation to see the neighborhood, jumped into the water from the rocks and bungee.

After such a busy day, a delicious lunch awaited us at the base, and after it we went for a walk to an incredibly beautiful granite quarry called “Radon Lake”.

This is how imperceptibly our tour came to an end. We spent an unforgettable day, got a lot of impressions and emotions, and are ready to create with new forces.

On June 1, the Ukrainian Urban Awards contest was held in the Parkovy Exhibition and Convention Center, in which our team “Da Vinchi Group” took part.

The jury consisted of such professionals as Tina Sobyu (Chinny, Chief Architect of Copenhagen), Markus Appenzeller (Head of Urbanism at the Academy of Architecture of Amsterdam), Michael Rojkind (Founder of Rojkind Arquitectos), Christos Passas (Executive Director of Zaha Hadid Architects), Vincente Kent, and Vincent Guenturer, Vincente Kenturtenos, Director of Urbanism at Amsterdam Chief Architect of Barcelona 2011-2015) and Hiroki Matsura - Chief Designer of the Maxwan Bureau. The jury found it difficult to reach a common opinion in choosing the best, because the event was a huge success and more than 500 works from designers and architects from all over Ukraine were submitted for participation in the competition.

Also, during the event, professionals held master-classes, told their basic principles of work and their vision of architecture in the future.

At the moment, the real estate market is filled with many new buildings and a buyer faces the question "Which house to choose to buy an apartment?"

Today, two technologies are actively used in construction: panel and monolithic-frame, so here are the main differences between them.

The very first criterion in comparison will be “price” and of course panel houses lead, but if we consider not only technology, but also other factors, such as the location of the house, the price of the socket and the monolith may be equal.

The construction of a multi-storey panel house is possible in 6-8 months, while the construction of a monolithic house will take 1-2 years. Such a difference is associated with the features of building technology. Almost all products for the construction of a panel building are manufactured at the factory, and they are assembled on the construction site as a children's Lego designer. According to the monolithic-frame technology, all stages are carried out directly at the construction site, so the timing is influenced by weather conditions and the human factor.

In the monolithic frame construction there is a large selection of building materials for the construction of walls, which allows to improve the level of heat and sound insulation. We can’t say it about the prefabricated houses.

The architectural possibilities of monolithic frame technology are almost endless. According to the project, the building can be of any shape, number of floors, and the facades of the most diverse. It is also possible to place underground parking, make spacious common areas and redevelopment of apartments, which will give individuality to your accommodation. In the panel house the same patterned exteriors and apartment layouts without the ability to change them, since the walls are all bearing and cannot be dismantled.

Another thing to pay attention to costs of interior design. In a monolithic house you will have to spend money on leveling the walls, the ceiling and the floor screed while the panels have a flat and smooth surface. But we must not forget that there are always gaps between the panel plates, because of which you need to insulate the walls to reduce heat loss and improve noise insulation, so the cost of finishing will be approximately equal.

Well and panel houses also lose to monolithic in environmental friendliness and terms of operation.

We are supporters of monolith-frame technology of construction, thanks to which you can build green, energy-efficient and durable buildings. Panel technology is used for the construction of economical housing, but far from being comfortable and in the future with high expenses in operation.

From March 20 to March 23, the largest in Ukraine international construction exhibition Inter Build Expo 2018 was held in Kiev. The total area was 25,000 square meters, and more than 500 companies from 9 countries took a part in it. The exhibition has become a meeting place for leading construction professionals. Within the framework of the program of events, scientific and practical conferences and an international laboratory of architecture were held.

At the exhibition, we presented a new service - development of Virtual Reality. VR is not only games, it is an auxiliary tool in the presentation of an object that has not yet been realized, attracting investors and increasing sales efficiency. With the help of a helmet and controllers, the client can walk through the future residential complex, apartment, shopping or office center. So we provided an opportunity for visitors to dive into a virtual apartment, evaluate the layout and design of the premises, enjoy the real view from the window and from the terrace (photos taken by a quadcopter and moved to VR). In order to make the tour of the apartment even more interesting, it was possible to interact with interactive objects: turn on the water in the faucet, switch channels on the TV, rearrange the dishes, change the texture of the furniture and so on. Everyone who experienced Virtual Reality received a lot of positive emotions and was delighted.

We are pleased that our team “Da Vinchi Group” became a part of a large-scale exhibition in the construction industry.

This year this holiday was particularly interesting and informative. Almost all of us went on a trip!

Where were we? - In a state where the main task of an architect is to make it cooler, more beautiful, more modern, taller, more technological and absolutely no matter how much it costs, where marble pavements, the world's best roads, artificial islands, airplanes fly with escorts, warm sea and everything is the highest, the largest, the fastest ....

Of course this is the UAE! We visited 4 emirates - Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah.

Dubai is the most touristic emirate, where construction is constantly underway and more and more new skyscrapers are being built with more and more incredible structures and technologies. We also enjoyed the equally famous Dubai fountains, visited an artificial island in the shape of a palm tree, where the hotel with the most expensive rooms in the world is located, visited the construction exhibition TheBig 5, where modern construction technologies, decor, decoration, engineering solutions were presented. We walked into Dubai Marina's newest area, discovered a new flower exhibition in MiracleGarden, where they built the largest flower statue in the world!

Sharjah is the most cultural emirate, where the dry law acts, the strictest norms of Islam, many museums, exhibitions and sunny beaches on the shores of the Persian Gulf.

Fujairah is an emirate where people go for beach holidays, diving and relaxation. So we decided to arrange a fasting day, take a break from a lot of impressions and activities, but it didn’t do without adventures, it was fun)))

But, as they say “good in a little bit”, we are already back in the “ranks” and are ready to surprise our customers with new forces and ideas!

July 1, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Architecture, and we are no exception!

This time we went on the Dnipro river by two sailing yachts.

The journey began early in the morning from the yacht club Riviera in Osokorki. Along the way, we managed to compete for speed, practice managing the yacht, sunbathing, relaxing, fishing, flying a quadrocopter, almost drowning it in the Dnipro river)

By lunchtime we got to Olginsky Island, where we ate kebabs and various goodies, held contests, played football, volleyball, and just enjoyed the surrounding nature and fun company.

At 6 in the evening we returned to the yachts and went back, already a bit tired, but in a great mood. We sang songs, danced, enjoyed the sunset.

And almost at the goal, near the South Bridge, we found a heavy downpour, but we were not upset, it gave some romance to our journey ....
